The Telangana State Government has decided to postpone the TSPSC Group 2 exams for recruitments to various positions in the government by two months. Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on March 26, Saturday instructed the Telangana State Public Service Commission chairman Ghanta Chakrapani to postpone the exams scheduled for this April 24,25, 2016.
That since the Telangana government expects to increase recruitments from 439 posts as planned earlier to a larger number, it would be better to postpone the examinations and hold them later to fill all Group II posts. The Group II exams were scheduled for April 24 and 25, 2016. The new dates for the exam announced later.
It was also decided to postpone the April 4 exam for recruitment of constables to the state police of Telangana. This decision was taken to avoid clash with the RRB recruitment exams also scheduled for the same day. The Telangana State Government, added, was of the view that some candidates planning to give both exams would miss out on one and hence the postponement of the constables' examination. Further, the exams for recruitment to fill sub-inspector of police vacancies would also be offered in Telugu in addition to English.
