The results of degree examinations of Kakatiya University held in March, were released . In-charge Vice-Chancellor T. Chiranjeevulu approved them in the Results Committee, consisting of Deans of faculties, on Thursday. The results were issued on June 19th, Friday at the Senate Hall on university campus. Explaining the details, In-charge Controller of Examinations, Prof. P. Narsimha Rao, said that 33.97 per cent of students passed in the final year of BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BBM put together. Individually, in BA final the pass percentage is 32.71 per cent, in BSc final 32.45 per cent, in B.Com. 35.56 per cent and in BBM 67.27 per cent.
The instant examination for students who failed in one theory paper of final year will be held on July 7.
Kakatiya University was established on 19th August, 1976 to fulfil the aspirations of the Telangana people for higher education. The founding of the University was in fact a historic event in the sense that heralded a new era in the realms of higher education of this region. The erstwhile Post-Graduate Centre of Osmania University was upgraded and named Kakatiya University. The development of the University over the years has been gradual but impressive. The University was initially accredited with B+ grade by the NAAC in 2002 and reaccredited with A grade in 2008.
