The Satavahana University students could approach the controller of examination (COE) for corrections if there were any discrepancies in name, father’s name and other details on or before April 27. The revaluation and recounting of applications will be accepted online on or before May 5 and instant examinations for final year students will be held in the last week of May. The photocopies of the answer scripts will be available within three months of the declaration of results.
A record number of 3,270 degree first year students were detained in Satavahana University, which introduced the detention system from 2014-15 onwards. Releasing the university degree examination results here on April 23rd, Thursday, Satavahana University in-charge Vice-Chancellor K. Veera Reddy said that the pass percentage was lower in the degree first year examinations when compared to last year, following the strict valuation of papers.
Overall, the pass percentage was 52 in the degree final year examinations this year. Against a total of 25,512 students who appeared in the final year examinations, 13,158 students passed and were awarded degrees. Only 50 per cent passed in BA, 60 per cent in B.Com, 50 per cent in B.Sc and 64 per cent in BBM courses in the final year.
In the second year, the pass percentage in BA and B.Com was 37 per cent each, B.Sc 36 per cent and BBM 46 per cent. In the first year, the pass percentage was 26 per cent in BA, 28 in B.Com, 36 in B.Sc and 23 per cent in BBM.
