VITEEE Results 2015

Application deadline for the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) has been postponed to March 15, informed officials of VIT administration. 

That nearly 6,000 students of the 29,000 enrolled at the university, and about 37,000 students of over one lakh students who took the entrance exam last year, hailed from undivided Andhra Pradesh. He hoped that the number would increase this year from the bifurcated Telugu States. This year, computer-based VITEEE is being held between April 8 and 19 across 112 cities. Recounting the university’s founding, Dr. Viswanathan, a two-time parliamentarian and former Union Minister. 

Over 1.9 lakh candidates set to appear for VIT entrance exam VIT University’s Bangalore campus is likely to be operational from 2015, said G. Viswanathan, chancellor of the university. VIT University is holding its Engineering Examination for B.Tech program from April 8 to 19  2015 and the last date for filling of application has been extended from February 27 to  March 15th 2015.

The University is inviting applications for B.Tech in various subjects including Bio Tech, Bio Med, Civil Chemical, ECE, EEE, Mechanical and others. Interested students can fill in their applications online at www.vit.ac.in and offline applications forms can be obtained by sending a demand draft for Rs. 990 drawn in favour of the VIT University or obtain application forms from designated branches of Post offices by payment of Cash.

Dr.G. Viswanathan Chancellor VIT University said “that this year around1,93,790 students have registered for the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE), a computer-based test for admission into their B.Tech programmes.

The exam is scheduled to be held between April 9 and 20. It will also be held in Dubai and Kuwait, apart from 112 Indian cities, Mr. Viswanathan said. The results will be announced on or before April 28 on the university’s website,www.vit.ac.in.

On placements, he said a total of 3,031 students have been placed so far with the highest offer at Rs. 16 lakh per annum.

Andhra Pradesh has the maximum number of registrations (37,298 including 29,606 males) followed by Uttar Pradesh (28,337), Bihar (18,861), Maharashtra (14,801), Rajasthan (12,839) and Tamil Nadu (12,555). Among the cities, Hyderabad topped the list with 13,983 candidates followed by Delhi (13,270), Kota (10,461), Patna (9,669) ​ and Vijayawada (8,913). Chennai recorded 5,844 registrations and Vellore, 2,301. 

The college collects fee from students depending on their ranks. The highest rank holder pays less fees. The VITs University has signed 186 MOUs wqith 50 countries and invites professors from these university as guest lectures . It offers several foreign languages to its students and boasts of atleast 78 patents besides 430 publications of its own . It ranks No 4 in the country .
