Students appearing for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in Telangana, starting on Wednesday, should reach the examination hall by 8.45 a.m. and they will be allowed inside the examination hall from 9 a.m.

Since the exam is being held in the new pattern for the first time, students will be given an additional 15 minutes time to read and understand the question paper, said Director of Examinations, B. Seshu Kumari. First Language paper-I will be held on the first day. The Director said that about 5.65 lakh students will take the examinations, being held for the first time after the formation of the new State. Flying squads have been constituted to plug copying.

The stage has been set for smooth conduct of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations which will be held for the first time in a new pattern with a new syllabus in 274 centres in Karimnagar district from March 25. A total of 63,126 students will be appearing for the exams. These candidates include 58,558 regular students.


Some 274 Chief Superintendents and an equal number of departmental officers besides, 3,328 invigilators were appointed. In order to check malpractices, the authorities formed 14 flying squads. Following the conduct of examination in a new pattern, the students will get extra 15 minutes to finish their papers. Officials of the Education Department have informed the students to arrive at least half-an-hour in advance at their allotted examination centres. They also said that the students would not be allowed to leave examination centre till the completion of the exam time.



Sangareddy : A total of 45,977 students, including 3,801 private students, will attend examinations in 234 regular and 17 private centres in Medak district. However, the number of students attending examinations this year was less than the previous year. Last year, as many as 50,555 students attended the examination.



Some 14 sensitive centres were identified and security will be tightened in those centres. Around 251 departmental officers and 251 Chief Superintendents were appointed along with 13 flying squads in which Deputy Tahsildars will be the members. Another 2,550 invigilators and 40 route officers were also appointed. RTC was asked to operate buses to the centres during the exams so that students can reach their centres without problem. Collector Rahul Bojja conducted a review meeting with the officials. 



Adilabad : All preparations have been made for the SSC exams which will see 45,946 candidates, including 37,116 regular candidates taking the exams in 203 centres across the district. As many as 10 flying squads besides, the sitting squads in every centre will control malpractice. The administration has also made proper security arrangements for the exams which will end on April 11. Not only police personnel will be posted at exam centres, but the xerox centres will also remain closed during the exam timings.



Officials have informed that candidates coming after 10 a.m. will not be allowed to take the exam which will be held between 9.30 a.m. and 12.15 p.m. Candidates were advised to come to the centre well in advance to avoid confusion.
