Karnataka SSLC Results 2015

Over 8.56 lakh students will write the Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exam from March 30 across 3,038 centres. The exam will conclude on April 13. Students from 13,693 schools have registered for the exam. The highest number of schools registered are unaided 5,332, followed by government schools 5,053 and aided schools 3,308.


Of the total number of exam centres, 50 have been declared ‘hyper-sensitive’, while 148 have been identified as ‘sensitive’ centres, a press release from the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board said. As many as 829 centres will have CCTV cameras watching over the students during the exam. In addition, various squads will be deployed to keep a watch on the proceedings.

Section 144 will be imposed in a radius of 200 metres from the centres during the exam, while photocopying facilities near the centres will be shut as a precautionary measure. Students can call the helpline (080-23310075/23310076) up to April 13.  Evaluation will begin on April 19 in 211 centres in 34 education districts. 
SSLC exams began on a smooth note in 128 centres of Kalaburagi district on March 30th, Monday. The students appeared for the first language paper. Kannada, English, Hindi, Urdu and Telgu languages were optional for the paper. as per the sources, no malpractices were reported in any of the centres. In one of the examination centres in Kalaburagi, the students of the Government Blind School wrote the paper with the help of their friends.

A total of 35,054 students out of 36,962 appeared and 1,898 remained absent for the examinations held on March 30th, Monday. No students were debarred in the district, officials said. In Yadgir district, as many as 9,972 students appeared for the SSLC examination. According to official sources, out of the total 10,775, 793 students remained absent. No malpractices were reported in any of the examination centres in the district. 

The Education Department has made elaborate arrangements as it has set up 42 examination centres across the district and Closed Circuit Television Cameras have been installed in nine centres, the sources added. Of 27,456 candidates who enrolled for the SSLC examinations in Dharwad district, 26,963 appeared for the examinations and 493 remained absent on the first day. In Gadag, of 14,884 candidates, 14,423 appeared for the examinations and 461 remained absent.

In Haveri, of 21,339 candidates, 20,585 appeared for the examinations and 754 remained absent. Of 21,582 candidates, 21,162 appeared for the examinations and 420 remained absent in Uttara Kannada districts. No incidents of malpractices during the examination were reported from anywhere in these districts, a release from the office of the Additional Commissioner, Department of Public Instructions, stated.
