UOH Entrance Exam Results 2015

Applicants to courses being offered University of Hyderabad (UoH) have increased 20 per cent over the previous year, with students from Telangana accounting for almost 25 per cent of the total 44,224 candidates.  The entrance examinations will be held from February 8 to 14. 

The university conducts the entrance tests much earlier than other varsities in the country to ensure that they get the best talent, and also so that the dates do not clash with that of other major exams in the country. The entrance tests of most universities are held in April. Controller of Examinations V. Krishna said 11,283 candidates will appear for the tests at the Hyderabad centre, followed by 4,000-odd students at the New Delhi centre.

This year, 44,224 students have applied for the entrance, to be conduced in 37 centres across the country, for 97 courses, including the integrated five-year course. The centres are spread across the country including Jammu and Kashmir.

Prof. Krishna said there was a 20 per cent rise in applications this year, reflecting the growing interest in the varsity. Interestingly, the UoH was declared the Visitor’s ‘Best University’ among all Central universities in the country by President Pranab Mukherjee. Applicants from the newly-created Telangana State account for nearly 25 per cent with 14,000-odd candidates hailing from there, followed by Andhra Pradesh.

Prof. Krishna advised the candidates to be present at the exam venue at least an hour before the start of the test. In Hyderabad, the university will operate buses from the main gate of the varsity to the south campus for the convenience of candidates.
