CSIR NET Online Application 2015

Applications have been invited online on www.csirhrdg.res.in up to March 12 for the Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship, to be held on June 21.  A candidate may apply either for JRF or Lectureship alone. However, students from the engineering stream will be eligible only for CSIR JRF.

Those who have obtained Bachelor of Science (BS) 4-year degree/BE/B.Tech./B.Pharm./MBBS/Integrated BS-MS/M.Sc. or equivalent degrees with at least 55 per cent marks (for general and OBC non-creamy layer candidates) and those who have appeared or are appearing for the qualifying examinations are eligible to apply.

Students in the SC/ST categories and physically challenged of visually impaired candidates need only 50 per cent marks. B.Sc. (Hons)/equivalent degree holders or students who have enrolled for Integrated M.S.- PhD programmes with at least 55 per cent marks (50 per cent for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, physically challenged and visually impaired candidates) are also eligible to apply.

The upper age limit for JRF-NET is 28 years as on 1.1.2015. It will be relaxed up to five years for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/OBC, physically challenged or hearing impaired and female applicants. There is no upper age limit for lectureship (LS-NET).

How to apply

Candidates applying for the test may deposit their examination fee in any branch of Indian Bank. Fee for general candidates is Rs.1,000, OBC non-creamy layer Rs.500 and Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Physically Challenged or Visually Impaired candidates is Rs.250.

To apply online, the candidates are required to download bank challan form from www.csirhrdg.res.in and then deposit the examination fee in the Indian Bank. After successfully submitting applications, take a printout and paste recent black & white photograph, put signature at the required space, attach required copies of certificates and send along with fee remitted bank challan in an envelope superscribed with subject code, centre code & medium code to Sr. Controller of Examination, Human Resource Development Group, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi – 110 012 so as to reach on or before March 17. The test will be held tentatively on June 21, 2015.
