TS ICET Online Application 2015

Split Eamcets seem increasingly likely now with no more Governor-mediated peace talks between Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh scheduled in the future. The Telangana State Council of Higher Education had written to the Andhra Pradesh government asking it to nominate an official to serve on the proposed admissions committee, under a common Eamcet held by TSCHE. However, the letter has not elicited any response. With time running out, officials say they will take a call on the issue soon.

Earlier this month, Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan made a last ditch attempt at engineering an action plan agreeable to both states. But Telangana education minister G Jagadish Reddy informed him that the state government would conduct its own Eamcet at any cost and AP can be part of it. Subsequently, TSCHE wrote to the AP chief secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao asking him to nominate an official of the state government to serve on the admissions committee for a common Eamcet.

However, the initiative has not elicited a reply from the AP government yet. At the same time, AP HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has also indirectly hinted at a separate Eamcet and said that the exam will be held according to the schedule in the notification issued by the AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

But time is running out for the preparatory processes prior to the entrance test to be completed. According to sources, the TSCHE will announce the schedule for its Eamcet soon. Our stand is very clear. We have written to AP asking for its representative to be named for the common admissions committee. But if AP does not want to respond, it is not a roadblock for us. We will announce the schedule soon,” sources said.
