The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited applications on www.aipmt.nic.in for the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT- 2015) to be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 3 (Sunday) across the country for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in the 15 per cent All-India Quota seats and also to seats of participating universities and States for 2015-16.
The AIPMT consists of one paper comprising 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). There are 53 test centres from which one can choose 3 centres. Test booklets are available in English and Hindi. Each correct answer carries 4 marks and for each incorrect response, one mark will be deducted.
Those who complete 17 years and will not exceed 25 years as on December 31, 2015, are eligible to apply. The upper age limit is relaxable by five years for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (OBC). Those who have passed Plus Two/ equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology and have secured at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate in these subjects (40 per cent for SC/ST and OBC categories) or those appearing for Class XII examination in 2015 are eligible to apply.
First-year B.Sc. students with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and those who have passed B.Sc. with at least two subjects from among these are also eligible to apply. Detailed eligibility criteria are given in the Information Bulletin which can be downloaded from the website.
The last date for submitting online application is December 31. The application fee of Rs.1,200 (Rs.650 for SC/ST/PH) can be remitted either by credit/debit card before January 1 or by e-challan before January 2. Fee payment facilities are available in Syndicate Bank /ICICI Bank/ HDFC Bank and State Bank of India. The e-challan can be generated from the system.
Those who fail to apply before December 31 may apply from January 3 to 31, with a late fee of Rs.2,400 (Rs.1,850/- for SC/ST/PH) and the fee can be remitted by e-challan up to February 2. The entire application process of AIPMT- 2015 is online.
Admit card can be downloaded from April 1. If admit card of a registered candidate is not uploaded on the website, e-mail AIPMT Branch of CBSE at email@example.com after April 10.
The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune; Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi; Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi; Hamdard University, Delhi, and so on use the AIPMT rank list for admissions to the MBBS/ BDS seats under their control. AIPMT- 2015 results will be published by June 5 and will be valid for the academic session 2015-16.
